Dave Frank from the Farmington Daily Times has made his resolution:

C&NN Founding Chair Richard Louv has weighed in on The New Nature Movement blog about the Child's Right to Nature Initiative. Will 2012 be the year that the U.N. and others recognize the right of all people to a meaningful connection with the  natural world? Read the blog here:

C&NN Co-founder and Chair and host of the "Mom Enough" radio show Marti Erickson asks:

Are you making New Year's resolutions this year? She also offers ideas for keeping them!

I just added my own blog to the mix on C&NN Connect:

New Year's Resolution: Spend More Time in Nature

Happy Nature New Year to all!

We've been pretty good about getting out. My resolution is to bring more of our friends and family with us. There is also growing interest in a Nature Club. Will report back on our progress there.

Hi Amy! That's wonderful that nature is already a big part of your family's life and especially terrific that you now want to share that with others. Please keep us posted on your progress on the Family Nature Club, too. I'm sure many people here will be interested in that.

At Selkirk Outdoor Leadership & Education (SOLE), we have several exciting projects for 2012!  Most of which, are going to be specifically designed for youth!  You can visit more about what we are up to via at www.soleexperiences.org!

Hey there, Dennison! Happy New Year. So glad you're letting folks know about SOLE. Your programs look really fantastic. Please feel free to post your Events here on C&NN Connect. (I know you're already in the C&NN Movement Directory: http://www.childrenandnature.org/directory/programs/). We also have a Nature as Therapy group on the forum that might interest you. Thanks again for sharing with the community here. Hope 2012 is spectacular for SOLE!

Hi! I'm new to this site, and look forward to the discussions.

For 2012, I will be focusing my outdoor volunteer work on kids programs. I have a dance background and am exploring developing outdoor dance/creative movement/creative play programs to lead on weekends.

At the moment, I am looking for Gr 3 to 6 teachers to pilot a new inquiry-based activity guide I made for "A Dog's Life: Autobiography of a Stray".

I think that dogs are a perfect link to getting kids to observe the nature under their noses and if they can understand them better, can apply the same concepts to learning about and spending time in nature (which of course dogs also get us to do). There is a wide variety of activities including many that can be done outdoors and improve kids observation and sensory skills while they learn about the natural history of dogs. Activities are individual, in small group, medium group and whole class.

If you know of any teachers (or parents or homeschoolers) who might benefit from this, please pass them my name as I'd love to communicate with them.
