Thanks for sharing your Grandma Camp experience, Laura.  I am motivated to seek out a camp that is in my area.

Interesting that you bring up singing "Joy to the World" in June.  For the past 7 years, I sing that to my granddaughters when I'm at their house and they're ready for sleep.  They each get a back massage along with the song.  And, it doesn't matter what time of the year it is.  They all want to hear that song!!

Oh, and, your book is wonderful!!

I took my two oldest grandchildren to Grandma's Camp this weekend.  I'd love it if you would read the blog I wrote about it and post a comment there.

Hi everyone, nice to meet you all virtually.  Laura, thanks for getting us rolling. Jane, love the salad! Margie, look forward to reading Outdoor Play Adventures.  I've been working with C&NN Natural Families Network for a while and as a new grandmother, I'm really excited about this group. Wanted to let you know that Suz has a few more elements to add to this page, including a slide show feature and then we'll start promoting the site.

Thank you, Suz!  Happy to be part of this new group.

Here's a cute story (along with a picture) that my son told me:  His 2 girls were playing in their backyard and they came up with the idea of making a "salad" with leaves, flower petals and anything else they could find.  He attributed their creative idea to all the times I've taken them on outdoor adventures.  OK - can't talk anymore about this because I may start crying!!  lol   So, here's the picture:

Thank you Suz for doing this.  The  Outdoor Grandparents group needed a boost.  I was having trouble with the mechanics of it.Some one wanted to call me (perhaps it was you) to have a telephone discussion, but I could never get my response to go throug.

Tomorrow I am taking my two oldest grand children to Grandma's camp.  It is is a day camp in Cedars of Lebanon State park in Tennessee.  It is blistering hot here right now and the camp does not involve water play.  I hope we all survive!
