Oops - sorry for calling you Luis - I've been copying and pasting large parts of the message to go through the entire international C&NN Connect members!

Dear Luis

I've just been asked to create an "International C&NN Connect" group so please do stop by and say hello there. It will provide a place for people to share news, views, ideas and activities from all over the world

Oh yes...and the Scotland group welcomes members from all over the world too. It will give you a wee insight into what's happening in this country about children and nature. You can flag up "Toffee the Highland Cow"!

Best wishes

My kids would love to submit some of their nature photographs. We are all mad about photography, our teenagers have their own cameras (and share a video camera) and Sam is allowed to borrow my Canon Rebel now that he understands how to care for it.
Our eldest son is taking photography at school and has just had his first dark room experience. Before the children were born, my husband and I converted a small bathroom into a dark room-such a magical experience watching a picture develop right in front of your eyes. Now a days, it's all digital-which for kids (and probably most adults) is great because they get to see their creativity immediately.
The outdoors has endless possibilities for a photographer - whatever age they may be.
I'm loving your website!

Thank you Catherine for your lovely comments. Hope your kids school agree to hunting for pine cones. I'm trying to organize a few pine cone hunts with 2 local schools for Earth Day -then back to the classrooms to make the bird feeders. Hope we get the go-ahead.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks Marghanita for your nice words on the kids photography. If you wish, your children are always welcome to submit imagery to share and inspire others about our natural playground. I just love your "Hunting for Pine Cones" and your website is wonderful! I'm planning on suggesting to my kids school teachers if they would like to hunt for pine cones with the kiddos!!!!!

Hi Julie

We have the Toffee books in some tourist locations-Edinburgh Castle, Glamis Castle etc but hadn't thought of Visit Scotland direct-thanks for the advice-I will look into it.
Do you still have snow?

Ahem - truth be told I'm a Sassenach and my very-English accent reveals all! Does Visit Scotland promote the Toffee books? I hadn't seen them until I saw them on your website.

Hi Suz, thanks for the warm welcome! I'm finding it really difficult to keep up with all the online connections-this is pretty new for me so please bare with me. It's so exciting to see so many like minded people doing such wonderful things to connect kids to nature. Look forward to meeting and sharing.

Hi Marghanita! I'm so glad you found us. Knowing your passion for getting children out into nature and your gentle blog and nature toys and books, this is obviously the perfect place for you to meet some like-minded people. I hope you enjoy meeting everyone and sharing resources. Welcome!
