Texas native, Kimberly Banzhaf has been exploring the out-of-doors her entire life. Many of her adventures began with years of employment at Philmont Boy Scout Ranch where she was a photographer, bear researcher and lead conservationist. Earning a BS: Environmental Science from Texas Christian University, she had such opportunities as attending The School for Field Studies in Kenya and working as a research assistant at Wolf Ridge Wind Farm. After moving to Colorado, Kimberly spent time working as a Naturalist at Mueller State Park as well as representing the state for America’s State Park Youth Ambassadors and Outdoor Nation. A current Wilderness First Responder and Colorado Master Gardener, Kimberly is now the Programs & Site Manager for Beaver Ponds Environmental Education Center in Fairplay, Colorado where she continues to gather communities in outdoor settings.
